Thanksgiving dinner was fantastic! Right when dinner was served the power went out. So for a little while we were eating by the light of a candle. The picture above is the reason why it was hard for those of you to hear me on Skype. Allof the kids were so excited to be able to talk to America on the computer! They especially liked Connor and "how cool" he was. There were about 20 kids surrounding me and wow was it HOT! After the internet shut down I played the "Lion King" dvd for the kids. They loved that too! I brought a birthday cake to the college today to celebrate 2 of my students birthdays. It was so much fun to see how excited a simple cake made them! Hope everyone had a wonderful turkey day! Love and miss you all. PS...new pictures under "Kristie's Pictures"

I am so glad that you got to talk to us on Thanksgiving. We all loved talking to your students. You could hear the excitement in there voices. It was an awesome experience talking with them! Thank you for sharing that moment with all of us......Connor loved it too!
I am so glad you finally got our package, that was mailed almost a month ago! And your cards, how great was the timing on those. You got them on Thanksgiving Day. SUPER! This is Gizmo. Steve and Cracker are keeping watch right now on the sleeping Dave as I commodere his computer. Dave is doing a good job feeding us although I he thinks our automatic feeder keeps water fresh as long as there is some in it... it doesn't. It tastes like pond water. Oh yea, could you tell him to clean the litter box. It's like taking a dump on Mt. Vesuvius. We love you and miss you and hope you do not bring home anymore cats.

You sound like you are ready for this to all be done, Central, Africa, school in general! And I do not blame you at all! I see a light at the end of the tunnel! And it sure looks great!
