The past couple of days have gone by so quickly! Everything that I do here is starting to become natural. The power goes out...oh well. The internet goes down...so I write with a pencil and paper. The laundry doesn't come...so I...nevermind. Things are just becoming more and more familiar and I'm less surprised by things that happen here. I love the feeling of not knowing what time it is and not worrying about missing my favorite tv show. Although I do deeply miss Grey's Anatomy. The kids at the village are still doing great and smiling big everytime I see them! Exams are starting soon at the college so my students have become a bit stressed. I gave a lesson today to help prepare my IG1 students (9th grade). They were extremely receptive and said that the lesson was very beneficial to them. The art supplies have been lost in the mail so we are running out of a lot of supplies...hopefully the supplies will makeit. The school ordered the supplies in MAY! It just makes you think of how lucky our schools in the US really are! I miss everyone and I love to see everyones comments...it makes me feel a bit closer to home! Love you all. PS...I think I have finally figured out how to share all of my pictures...click on the link on the right that says "Kristie Pics".

love love love love being able to see all your photos. you have some really really cool ones. (VERY frame-able) i don't like the eel one or whatever that dried out thingy is on the beach ... FREAKY! but a neat shot. I feel like i have so much to talk to you about but it's hard on here so i'll just wait till you get back. i wanna hear it ALL. It's kind of pathetic, today i was washing dishes and thought of you. i was washing the mug (blue) you always drank your tea out of. it was kinda funny.

as always i'm still jealous, you'll remember this trip for the rest of your life. you're leaning so much and you probably wont even know the half of it until later.

love much,
laura

Kristie my girl -
WOW what wonderful pictures. Dad and I watched the entire slide show. They are awesome. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Of course, I cried.......I love seeing shots of you!
But I also love The Saterstad Page. I am still laughing so hard. I will have to have Dave over for dinner again. He has got to be losing weight. He is eating, hot dogs, hot dogs and more hot dogs. Is he buying in bulk? And the liquid diet, too funny! I LOVED THE PICTURES OF THE HOUSE AND THE KITTIES! You must miss them and they miss you too! Well I will thank him for doing that too. And it helps for you to see what is happening at home without you there! HE MISSES YOU SO AND LOVES YOU SO VERY MUCH! I am sure he is counting the days as well!
You never cease to amaze me, your strength, your courage, you are truly an inspiration to each and everyone of us. I value and treasure your longing to learn outside of the norm. You are an amazing woman and I am so darn proud of my girl! YOU GO GIRLFRIEND!
I LOVE AND MISS YOU LOTS!

Hi Kristie,
Im a poor communicator when it comes to this kind of thing. This is really my first visit to your blog and I am really impressed. I looked at your pictures and am really impresses. I am looking forward to being able to visit again in person and seeing some of those souveniers you write about.
How wonderful to have dedicated and talented students. I would like to see more of their work.
I am only able to see your blog at home--school has it blocked, as well as kodak gallery. The kids ask about you often. I think they liked having such a kind pretty teacher--and miss her. I told them that if I need a sub I will ask for you. Do you think you'll be able to come back and work with our very privledged children (compared to the African children)?
--I'll try to visit again before too long. Donna
