Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween everyone! I am going to miss all of the wonderful costumes this year. I brought a little bit of Halloween to Africa by passing out candy today. Luckily it's almost all gone, otherwise I'd be forced to eat it all. Last night we all bought watermelons and decided that we just had to make a jack-o-lantern. Watermelons are much easier to carve than a pumpkin is. I think from now on we should just all carve watermelons. For my pumkin I decided to carve some Adinkra symbols around the watermelon and then on the other side make a classic jack-o-lantern face. It turned out pretty good! School is going good. The kids are very independent, self motivated and extremely talented. The staff is also very helpful. I have also volunteered to be the assistant coach for the girls basketball team. They meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday after school. We'll see how everything goes.

Brilliant idea, watermelons eh...... i told chris that from now on we're carving watermelons and he agreed. He says they taste much better and i say they're green and redish pinkish. perfect!

i'm so glad you're having such a great time and everything keeps working out for you.

the graphic design BFA requirements keep getting switched around, it's really starting to get to me. as of now we don't only have to write a thesis and have a show but we ALSO have to do an oral presentation of our portfolios in front of ALL the art faculty. ACK! the class graduating this sem. only have to write a thesis and they have a month longer than us to prepare. this is soooo unfair, i'm FREAKIN!
take care & can't wait to see you,
laura
